How to build a runner game

The world moves. The player jumps, ducks, or switches lane. Build3 builds a run you can play, then publishes a link.

  • No subscription
  • Credits do not expire
  • A link when you publish

12:00What you get

Keep moving

A runner has no finish line until you ask for one. Distance is the score.

  • Jump and one more move

Jump is required. Duck or change lane only if you ask for it.

  • Obstacles that speed up

Start slow enough to learn the jump. Say when it should get faster.

  • Distance as the score

Show it while they run, and the best distance at the end.

  • Phone first

Most runs start from a thumb. The jump target has to be easy to hit, and the keyboard still works.

  • Best runs from other players

A personal best can stay on the device. A list of other players needs the database unlock. The price is on the pricing page.

  • A link that starts the run

    Publish to a build3.site address.

12:00How it works

From a sentence to a link

You describe it, look at the preview, and publish when it is the one you want people to see.

  1. 01

    Pick the moves

Jump, and duck or lane-change if you want it.

  2. 02

    Survive thirty seconds

If the first obstacle is unfair, move it.

  3. 03

    Publish

Share the link. Update the live game when the speed feels right.

12:00Questions

Before you start

Does it need an end?

No. Distance can be the whole game. Ask for a finish line only if you want one.

How do I pay for the build?

You buy credits and spend them as you build. Nothing renews each month, and unused credits stay on the account. Pack sizes and what a prompt costs are on the pricing page. A small change costs less than starting over.

Can I use my own domain?

The build3.site link is included. Connecting a domain you already own is a separate unlock on that project. The price is on the pricing page. Build3 does not sell domains. You add the records at the registrar, and the free link keeps working too.

Describe the runner game.

The jump, the obstacles, and what the score counts.
