How to build a card game

Name the deck, the play, and who wins the hand. Build3 builds a game you can play, then publishes a link.

  • No subscription
  • Credits do not expire
  • A link when you publish

12:00What you get

A hand you can read

Cards have to be readable on a phone. The rule has to fit in one sentence.

  • A small deck

Start with a short deck and one rule. A full traditional game can wait until the first hand works.

  • A turn you can follow

Whose turn, what they can play, and what happens after the card lands.

  • A winner

Points, tricks, or last card standing. Show it clearly and offer another hand.

  • An opponent

The first version can play against the computer. People at two phones can each open the link and play their own hand.

  • Accounts later

A shared table with logins needs the database unlock. The price is on the pricing page. Do not start there.

  • A link to deal

    Publish to a build3.site address.

12:00How it works

From a sentence to a link

You describe it, look at the preview, and publish when it is the one you want people to see.

  1. 01

    Write one hand

How many cards, what a legal play is, and who wins.

  2. 02

    Play the hand

If you lose track of whose turn it is, ask for that to be clearer.

  3. 03

    Publish

Send the link when a full hand can be finished.

Change the one that is close, then start building. The button opens a new account. It does not send the prompt for you.

12:00Questions

Before you start

Can two people play one match together?

Each person can open the link and play. A shared table, with both players in the same hand, needs the database unlock. The price is on the pricing page.

How do I pay for the build?

You buy credits and spend them as you build. Nothing renews each month, and unused credits stay on the account. Pack sizes and what a prompt costs are on the pricing page. A small change costs less than starting over.

Can I use my own domain?

The build3.site link is included. Connecting a domain you already own is a separate unlock on that project. The price is on the pricing page. Build3 does not sell domains. You add the records at the registrar, and the free link keeps working too.

Describe the card game.
