How to build a puzzle game
Name the puzzle, the rule that clears it, and what happens when time runs out. Build3 builds a version you can play, then publishes a link.
- No subscription
- Credits do not expire
- A link when you publish
12:00What you get
One rule, then a clock
If you cannot explain the move in one sentence, the first version is not ready.
The move
Swap, tap, or drag. Say which one. The first version only needs that move.
A way to win and a way to fail
A target score, a cleared board, or a clock that hits zero. Say what the player sees when it ends.
Play it on a phone
Tiles have to be big enough to tap. Check the board at a narrow width before you publish.
Keyboard too
Arrow keys or a letter should make the same move. Touch is extra, not the only way.
A score you can beat
Best score on this device can live in the browser. A shared leaderboard needs the database unlock. The price is on the pricing page.
A link to send
Publish to a build3.site address. People open it and play.
12:00How it works
From a sentence to a link
You describe it, look at the preview, and publish when it is the one you want people to see.
01
Write the rule
What you move, what counts as a match, and when the round ends.
02
Play one round
If you cannot finish it, fix that before you ask for themes and sound.
03
Publish the link
Send it. Update the live game when the next version is the one you want people to play.
12:00Prompts
Start from one of these
Change the one that is close, then start building. The button opens a new account. It does not send the prompt for you.

- A build3.site link
- Score and play again
- A shared leaderboard after the database unlock

12:00Questions
Before you start
Can I add levels later?
Yes. Play the first rule, then ask for the next level in the same project.
How do I pay for the build?
You buy credits and spend them as you build. Nothing renews each month, and unused credits stay on the account. Pack sizes and what a prompt costs are on the pricing page. A small change costs less than starting over.
Can I use my own domain?
The build3.site link is included. Connecting a domain you already own is a separate unlock on that project. The price is on the pricing page. Build3 does not sell domains. You add the records at the registrar, and the free link keeps working too.
