How to build a memory game

Cards face down. Flip two. Keep the pair or turn them back. Build3 builds the board, you play it, then publish a link.

  • No subscription
  • Credits do not expire
  • A link when you publish

12:00What you get

Two cards, then a match

The first board should be small enough to finish.

  • A grid of pairs

Eight pairs is a fair start. Say what is on the cards: shapes, colors, or simple pictures.

  • Flip two

The second card either matches and stays, or both turn back. You should not be able to flip a third.

  • Moves or time

Count the moves, or run a clock. Show it during the game and at the end.

  • A best on this device

Remembering the best score in this browser is enough to start. A board of other people needs the database unlock. The price is on the pricing page.

  • Big enough to tap

Cards on a phone have to be easy to hit. Check a narrow width before you publish.

  • A link

    Publish to a build3.site address.

12:00How it works

From a sentence to a link

You describe it, look at the preview, and publish when it is the one you want people to see.

  1. 01

    Set the board

How many pairs, and what is drawn on them.

  2. 02

    Clear it

If a card is hard to tell apart, change the set.

  3. 03

    Publish

Send the link when a full board can be cleared.

12:00Prompts

Start from one of these

Change the one that is close, then start building. The button opens a new account. It does not send the prompt for you.

12:00Questions

Before you start

Can I make the board bigger?

Yes. Finish the small board, then ask for more pairs in the same project.

How do I pay for the build?

You buy credits and spend them as you build. Nothing renews each month, and unused credits stay on the account. Pack sizes and what a prompt costs are on the pricing page. A small change costs less than starting over.

Can I use my own domain?

The build3.site link is included. Connecting a domain you already own is a separate unlock on that project. The price is on the pricing page. Build3 does not sell domains. You add the records at the registrar, and the free link keeps working too.

Describe the memory game.

How many pairs, and what is on the cards.
