How to build a racing game

Say what you drive, how you steer, and what ends the race. Build3 builds a version you can play, then publishes a link.

  • No subscription
  • Credits do not expire
  • A link when you publish

12:00What you get

Steer, avoid, finish

A race is a track, a way to turn, and a finish line.

  • Controls on both screens

Keys on a computer. Buttons or a drag on a phone. Both have to work.

  • A track you can finish

Three laps is enough. Walls, oil, or traffic only after a clean lap is possible.

  • A result

Time, place, or both. Show it when the race ends, with a way to race again.

  • One opponent, then more

Start with one. Ask for a field of cars after the first race feels fair.

  • Times that other people can see

A best time on this device is free. A public board needs the database unlock. The price is on the pricing page.

  • A link people can race

Publish to a build3.site address and send it.

12:00How it works

From a sentence to a link

You describe it, look at the preview, and publish when it is the one you want people to see.

  1. 01

    Name the controls

Steer, accelerate, and brake. Say which keys and what the phone buttons do.

  2. 02

    Finish a lap

If you get stuck, fix the track before you add cars.

  3. 03

    Publish

Share the link when a race can be finished.

12:00Prompts

Start from one of these

Change the one that is close, then start building. The button opens a new account. It does not send the prompt for you.

12:00Questions

Before you start

Can friends race the same track?

They can each open the link and play. A shared leaderboard of times needs the database unlock. The price is on the pricing page.

How do I pay for the build?

You buy credits and spend them as you build. Nothing renews each month, and unused credits stay on the account. Pack sizes and what a prompt costs are on the pricing page. A small change costs less than starting over.

Can I use my own domain?

The build3.site link is included. Connecting a domain you already own is a separate unlock on that project. The price is on the pricing page. Build3 does not sell domains. You add the records at the registrar, and the free link keeps working too.

Describe the racing game.
