Build3 vs v0
16 October 2026
v0 is a way to generate interface code from a prompt, usually for a developer to drop into an app. Build3 takes a description and gives you a website or a game you can preview and publish.
What you are given
v0 is aimed at the piece of interface: a screen, a component, code you can copy onward. Build3 is aimed at the whole project a person can open.
If you already have an app and you want a screen generated into it, v0 matches that job. If you want the site or the game itself, and a link to send, Build3 matches that job.
Games and a public link
Build3 treats a game as a normal request. You play the preview, then publish a build3.site link. v0 is not a place you go to ship a playable game.
Build3 is credits, with no subscription. This article does not quote v0’s prices. Hosting on the build3.site link is included. Your own domain is a separate unlock, priced on the pricing page.

Which one to open
Open v0 when a developer needs a generated screen for a codebase they already have. Open Build3 when you want to describe the thing and send people a link.
