Build3 vs Cursor
16 October 2026
Cursor is where a developer edits a project with an AI in the editor. Build3 is where someone who does not want the editor describes a website or a game and gets a link.
Different jobs
Cursor assumes there is a codebase and a person who can live in it. That is the right tool for a product a team already maintains.
Build3 assumes the request is the product: a shop, a booking page, a church site, a game. You look at the preview. You do not open the files.
What you pay for
On Build3 you buy credits and spend them as the build runs. They do not expire, and there is no subscription. Cursor sells its own plans for the editor. This article does not quote them.
Publishing on Build3 is a build3.site link, included. A domain you already own can point at it later.
- Build3 is for the website or the game
- Cursor is for a codebase
- You change Build3 by asking
- Paying on Build3: credits, no subscription
- Hosting on Build3: a build3.site link is included
Which one to open
Open Cursor when you are the developer and the repo is the work. Open Build3 when you want to describe it and send people the result.
