Secrets
A secret is a key the project needs, such as a payment secret. It goes in the Secrets tab. It does not go in the chat, and it does not go in the page people can view.
Where a key goes
Open the Secrets tab and add the key under the name the project asks for. On a phone the tab is under Tools. The value stays on Build3.
Do not paste a secret key into the chat. A message is the wrong place for it. If you already pasted one, remove it at the provider and create a new key, then save the new one in Secrets.
Names have to match
The chat will tell you the name to use, for example PAYSTACK_SECRET_KEY for a Paystack checkout. Use that name. A key saved under a different name is invisible to the project.
A public key is not a secret. The chat can put a public key in the project. The secret key still belongs in Secrets.
After you save it
Tell the chat you added the secret, if a feature was waiting on it. It can continue from there. You do not need to repeat the value.
Saving a key does not publish the site. Check the preview, then publish when the checkout or the other feature is the version you want live.
