Build3

Your project

The project

One project is one website or one game. The chat is where you ask. The preview is where you look. The tools are where the extras live.

What is on the screen

On a computer the chat is on one side and the preview is on the other. The tools sit in the sidebar: Database, Secrets, Analytics, and Domains.

On a phone the bottom bar is Chat, Preview, and Tools. Tools opens the same four. You are still in one project. Switching tabs does not start a new build.

Chat

You type what you want in the chat. The first prompt starts the build. Later prompts change that same project.

A project can have more than one chat. A new chat does not replay the old messages, but it still edits the same website or game. Stay in the chat you were using when a change is still in progress, so the follow-up is obvious.

Preview

The preview is the site or the game. It updates after a build finishes. If it does not show the latest change, press Reload in the preview toolbar. That is the reload control above the preview, not a browser refresh.

Only you see the preview. Visitors see the published version, which can be older than what you are looking at.

Website or Game

You choose Website or Game before the first prompt. A website is pages someone reads. A game is something they play.

That choice is fixed for the project. You do not switch a finished website into a game. Start a new project for the other one.

Tools, and when you need them

You can publish a simple page or a simple game without opening Tools. Open them when the project needs something the first prompt did not include.

  • Database, when something must be saved after the visitor closes the tab, or shared with someone else.
  • Secrets, when the project needs a key, such as a payment secret. The key does not go in the chat.
  • Analytics, when you want visits or plays for the published link, read inside Build3.
  • Domains, when a name you already own should open the published project.
